Description

A checklist of Lesvos Island’s (East Aegean, Greece) alien (non-native) plant species that has been compiled by literature and a roadside survey. In total 187 non-native plant taxa were recorded, belonging to 60 families and 135 genera.

Data Records

The data in this checklist resource has been published as a Darwin Core Archive (DwC-A), which is a standardized format for sharing biodiversity data as a set of one or more data tables. The core data table contains 187 records.

Study Extent Lesvos Island (East Aegean, Greece)

Method step description:

  1. Literature review involved various sources including peer-reviewed journals, dedicated floras, plant checklists, and relational databases. The roadside survey included all main and secondary roads, as well as several mountainous, agricultural, riparian, and coastal footpaths.
