Descrição

We report all known records of the invasive jellyfish species Craspedacusta sowerbii Lankester, 1880 in Italy, from its first occurrence in 1946, using published records, personal communications, images from web-pages, and DNA sequences. 61 water bodies in Italy are listed till now. In total 83 basisOfRecord are included (79 LivingSpecimen and 4 eDNA) in the last version. This dataset is updated when a new record in Italy is available to the authors.

Data from Lake Maggiore were collected during the monitoring activities within the Italian-Swiss agreement on Lake Maggiore (CIPAIS).
