Description
We report all known records of the invasive jellyfish species Craspedacusta sowerbii Lankester, 1880 in Italy, from its first occurrence in 1946, using published records, personal communications, images from web-pages, and DNA sequences. 61 water bodies in Italy are listed till now. In total 83 basisOfRecord are included (79 LivingSpecimen and 4 eDNA) in the last version. This dataset is updated when a new record in Italy is available to the authors.
Data Records
The data in this occurrence resource has been published as a Darwin Core Archive (DwC-A), which is a standardized format for sharing biodiversity data as a set of one or more data tables. The core data table contains 83 records.
