Zooplankton specimens were sorted from a LTER collection of samples gathered over different years, from 1997 to the present) This dataset is part of Activity WP6.6, "National Network of Aquatic Science Collections," of the project funded by the EU - Next Generation EU Mission 4 "Education and Research" - Component 2: "From Research to Business" - Investment 3.1: "Fund for the Creation of an Integrated System of Research and Innovation Infrastructures" - Project IR0000032 – ITINERIS - Italian Integrated Environmental Research Infrastructures System - CUP B53C22002150006.

取樣方法

Zooplankton samples were collected using a plankton horizontal sampler (200 μm mesh net size) and preserved with borax-buffered formaldehyde for microscopic analysis.

研究範圍	Samples were collected during different seasons and years, from the LTER stations.

方法步驟描述:

All collected samples were pressed into glass bowls, vouchered, and deposited in the laboratory of the Institute of Marine Sciences of Venice (ISMAR, https://www.archiviostudiadriatici.it/index.php/it/). For each voucher, a variable number of individuals from each taxon were prepared and preserved in 4% buffered formaldehyde for morphological studies. For the DiSSCo collection, recent samples from 2020 to 2024 were selected.
