We carried out monthly survey on lake Mergozzo (from June 2021 to May 2022) to monitor the occurrence and population distribution of non-native crayfish. In total 54 records of occurrence of F. limosus at 4 sampling sites are included in the dataset.

Lake Mergozzo shows only the municipality of Mergozzo along its coasts, and a special protection area (ZPS) “Lago di Mergozzo and Mont’Orfano” (IT1140013). The lake is oligotrophic because no direct inputs of anthropogenic origin exist along the lake-shores. |
| Описание плана выполнения исследований | The crayfish were captured by trapping (modified from Garzoli et al. 2020) which involves the use of 13 cylindrical bite traps/site (30 × 60 cm). Twenty grams of cat food per trap were used to attract crayfish (Boggero et al. 2023). |

Методы сбора
The baited traps were placed at 4 sampling sites at night when crayfish are more active, at a distance of about 2–3 m between them and retrieved in the following morning (posed for approximately 12 h) (Boggero et al. 2023). The sampling was performed monthly form June 2021 to May 2022.
