For the BMHS, there is no field sampling, as specimens are donated to the museum from various sources. Unfortunately, not every specimen donated is given a proper sampling record by the donor upon receipt

- Each specimen should have an ownership record when donated to the Museum. After being received the specimens are stored,researched for classification, measured and photographed; in order to be added to the data set for publication.
