Project Data

The dataset is constructed as the results of the Vietnam national research project, titled "Developing the database on taxonomy and distribution of endemic insect species in Vietnam to support biodiversity conservation and sustainable development", coded ĐTĐL.CN-65/19, supported by the Vietnam Ministry of Science and Technology, that is conducted at the Faculty of Biology, University of Science, Vietnam National University, Hanoi. Occurrence data have been compiled from insect specimens collected in our field surveys during 2019-2023, and representatives of previously collected specimens that are deposited in zoological collections in respective museums, universities and research institutes, plus some records from published literature. The dataset will be updated in the future, when further specimens are collected and/or examined and more occurrence data can be verified.
