Description

The diversity of hairy fungus beetles of the subgenus Litargosomus Motschulsky, 1858 under the genus Litargus Erichson, 1846 (Coleoptera: Tenebrionoidea: Mycetophagidae) of India has been studied and a new species Litargus (Litargosomus) arjanbasui Háva & Chakrovorty sp. nov. is described, illustrated and compared with similar species.
