        <abstract>
            This dataset captures detailed entomological observations on Aedes mosquitoes collected from both urban and peri-urban zones of Kinshasa city, the capital of the Democratic Republic of Congo. It includes standardized records such as species identification, sex, life stage, and reproductive status. Each entry is georeferenced to enable spatial analysis. Ensuring a comprehensive representation of Aedes presence and abundance across the study sites, a variety of sampling techniques were employed to target both adult and immature stages of Aedes populations. These included human landing catches (HLC), Prokopack aspirators, BG-Sentinel traps, and larval dipping technique. The data obtained provides a solid foundation to support vector surveillance in urban and peri-urban areas of Kinshasa city.

                    <para>The present work is an analytical cross-sectional study conducted over 12 months, including the dry and rainy seasons (January 2024 - December 2024). In addition, the present work was carried out both in the field and in the laboratory. 
A. field work involved : 
- prospecting breeding sites and collecting larvae ;
- Characterizing types of breeding sites ;
- capturing mosquitoes according to the sampling techniques selected; 
- record the geolocation coordinates of the various capture sites.
B. laboratory work focused on
- raising the pre-imaginal stages of Aedes;
- morphological identification of adult mosquitoes using the identification keys of Huang &amp; Rueda (2014) and Coetzee (2020).</para>
